Remembering Woodstock

There’s been a lot of talk about Woodstock 50, the 50th year anniversary concert tentatively scheduled for Aug. 16-18, 2019 at Watkins Glen International in New York. As we patiently await tickets to go on sale, take a look at this cute tie dye Woodstock baby one piece for that special someone in your life. The original Woodstock took place, of course, in 1969 in Bethel NY. More than 400,000 people attended the festival. The rain didn’t stop them from watching 32 acts perform outdoors. 

Woodstock has been copied a few times thereafter with Woodstock 1994 in Saugerties, NY and Woodstock ’99 in 1999 in Rome, New York which matched the attendance number from the ’69 show. 1994 was billed as “2 More Days of Peace and Music.” Woodstock ’99 was a 4-day event.

On August 15, 2009, the 40th anniversary of Woodstock ’69, alumni from 1969 performed an 8 hour concert in Bethel.
